01 / Booking and deposits

Booking and deposits.

Coating and film work takes a deposit against the bay time, because the bay is out of use for three to four days. It comes off the final invoice.

02 / Cancellation

Cancellation.

Seventy-two hours' notice and the deposit is returned in full. Less than that and we have a bay we cannot fill, so it is retained. Tell us early and we will find another date.

03 / Quotes

Quotes.

A quote follows an inspection and is valid for thirty days. A quote given before an inspection is an estimate, is labeled as one, and can move once we read the paint.

04 / What the warranties cover

What the warranties cover.

• Ceramic coating, 3 year: loss of gloss and of hydrophobic behavior. Annual inspection required.
• Ceramic coating, 9 year: the same, IDA-accredited, transferable once. Annual inspection required.
• Paint protection film: ten years against yellowing, cracking and delamination, per XPEL's own warranty, which we register in your name.

05 / What no warranty covers

What no warranty covers.

Stated as plainly as everything else on this site.

• Correction work. Paint is a consumable; we remove clear coat to do the job and we log how much.
• New damage — stone chips, scratches, collision, vandalism, hail.
• Automatic car washes. They will destroy a coating's behavior faster than anything else in Central Texas, and using one voids the coating warranty.
• Failure of paint that was already failing. If the clear coat was compromised before we started, the record says so, and that panel is excluded in writing before any work begins.

06 / Liability

Liability.

We carry $2M garage-keepers insurance and your car is covered while it is on our floor. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions recorded at intake, or for items left in the vehicle.

07 / Right to decline

Right to decline.

We will decline work we do not believe is in your interest, and we will say why. That is not a disclaimer — it is the same sentence as everything else on this site.
